Starting from this premise, Troller approached ÍCON to develop facelift proposals for one of their models — a project carried out in collaboration with EDAG Group, with a clear objective: to respect the model’s identity, design for the present, and offer real solutions for a platform known for its robust character.
From the beginning, we knew this wasn’t just an aesthetic exercise. It was about understanding the legacy, interpreting the brand’s moment, and translating that vision into consistent and executable design proposals. The process was built side by side with EDAG, in a constant flow of exchange, experimentation, and refinement.
BUILT ON REALITY
This was not an abstract study. Every line, proportion, and surface was considered based on the existing platform, taking into account feasibility, visual impact, and coherence with the Troller DNA. The approach combined contemporary tools — 3D visualization, digital modeling, and volumetric testing — with straightforward and traditional methods: quick sketches, real-time discussions, and adjustments born from practice.
This fusion of technical precision and applied creativity allowed the facelift to evolve naturally, staying true to the off-road essence while opening up space for a more modern and competitive language.
FROM SKETCH TO FORM
The initial sketches were crucial for exploring different directions. We investigated new interpretations of the front, rear, and overall volumes, always careful to preserve the strong stance and visual presence that define the Troller.
From there, we moved to modeling, refining surfaces, adjusting transitions, and testing variations until we achieved proposals balanced between aggression, modernity, and identity.
Detailed renderings completed the process, allowing us to evaluate the solutions under different conditions and showcase how each visual intervention reinforced the character of the model.
A STEP FORWARD
In the end, we delivered a series of proposals that respect the history of the Troller while pointing to its future. Solutions designed to be produced, updated visuals without distortion of the brand’s essence, and a process supported by real collaboration between teams.
For both us and EDAG, the project goes beyond the final images. It demonstrates the value of joint creation: when method, dialogue, and intention converge, the result gains depth and purpose.
This facelift represents more than just new surfaces — it represents a renewed vision of a Brazilian icon, ready to inspire the next chapters of national off-road culture.
