How do you bring back one of the most iconic cars in motorsport history — forever immortalized by Ayrton Senna — and rebuild it in full scale with visual precision and brand impact? This was the question that guided the development of this special project: to recreate the Lotus driven by Senna, blending historical fidelity and excellence in execution.
From the start, our objective was clear: to reconstruct the car with authenticity, turning references, studies, and digital modeling into a 1:1 prototype capable of conveying presence, emotion, and value for the client.
CLEAR DIRECTION
We established a clear path: respect the original design while applying real-world methodologies for modeling and physical construction. Each step, from research to refinement, was guided by technique, precision, and commitment to the final result.
We analyzed the proportions, volumes, and key features of the original Lotus to ensure that the final model truly reflected the spirit of the car driven by Senna. Our focus was simple and direct: to deliver something memorable and faithful to history.
FROM SKETCH TO MODEL
The development phase began with a deep dive into the visual references of the car. We mapped its lines, surfaces, and the elements that define its identity.
From there, we built the entire digital model, refining surfaces, correcting curvatures, and ensuring that every detail conveyed the same aesthetic force as the real-life version. Every curve was interpreted with rigor. Each transition received careful attention. Every volume was reviewed until we achieved the ideal balance between precision and visual presence.
FULL-SCALE CONSTRUCTION
With the digital model approved, we moved on to the prototyping stage. The car was machined in full scale, transforming the 3D file into a precise and imposing physical volume. This process ensured dimensional fidelity and allowed the client to visualize the car in tangible form, with all proportions and details preserved. The 1:1 construction reinforced the project’s impact and elevated the model to a new level of experience and value.
