Mopar Automotive Accessories: Design, Identity & Precision
Fiat & Jeep Mopar Accessories by ÍCON and EDAG. How can automotive accessories become elements that elevate not only aesthetics, but also the identity and experience of each vehicle? This was the question that guided ÍCON’s collaboration with EDAG in developing accessories for Mopar — the division responsible for official components of the Fiat and Chrysler brands.
From the very beginning, it was clear that this challenge required technical precision, brand consistency, and deep respect for the identity of each automaker.

Transforming Accessories Into Expressions of Automotive Identity
We believe accessories are not just add-ons; they are extensions of a vehicle’s personality. With that mindset, the project began with an in-depth study of the Mopar design universe, including brand philosophy, global guidelines, and each automaker’s visual language. This immersion ensured that every accessory enhanced identity without disrupting overall design harmony.

From Sketch to 3D: Creating Purposeful and Coherent Solutions
Once this foundation was established, we moved into the creation phase. Sketches, surface studies, and visual variations were developed to balance functionality and presence.
3D modeling provided the precision needed for product integration. Volumes, attachment points, and proportions were refined with millimeter accuracy to ensure full compatibility with the vehicles that served as reference.
Three Vehicles, Three Identities — One Consistent Accessory Line
Fiat Cronos — Elegance and Sportiness
Clean lines, balanced proportions, and an urban-elegant design language.

Fiat Toro — Strength and Robustness
A muscular presence defined by bold surfaces and strong character.

Jeep Compass — Premium Refinement
Sophisticated details and a premium aesthetic that demands precision.

Each model presented its own structural and visual demands, from different geometries to unique surface behaviors. Accessories were developed considering mounting points, language consistency, and engineering feasibility across the entire lineup.

Prototyping, Validation, and Technical Refinement
With the designs finalized, the project progressed to prototyping. Physical models were essential for validating ergonomics, aesthetics, light behavior, usability, and real-world integration.
The collaboration with EDAG played a crucial role throughout the process. Continuous dialogue, joint reviews, and iterative refinements ensured accuracy, performance, and fidelity to each brand’s standards.
As the prototypes evolved, transitions were refined, critical surfaces reworked, and compositions optimized — ensuring the balance between form and function.
Final Result: Exclusive Accessories with Full Brand Integration
The final delivery consisted of a complete line of exclusive Mopar Accessories by ÍCON developed with identity, coherence, and technical accuracy. Building upon the Fiat Cronos, Fiat Toro, and Jeep Compass platforms ensured total compatibility and reinforced the strength of the ÍCON–EDAG partnership.
More than fulfilling its engineering purpose, the project elevated the presence of each brand in the market — proving that collaboration, rigor, and a shared vision can transform accessories into true expressions of automotive identity.
